Caught the little one red handed making a mess in her room.  What a challenging room she has to take a picture in with my current set-up.  South facing, shaded window, dark carpet.  Really looking forward to getting a better lens.  Soon.

My big girl got a fun purse to color with sparkles to put in the purse.  Well, in the mind of a 3 year old, when the best marker color is blue, you color the whole thing blue.  The sparkles go on in a line, then come off and go on your fingernails like polish.

 I can't believe I am almost 2 weeks behind in blogging. I haven't missed a day in those two weeks taking a picture, just been too busy and too tired to upload and blog.  Played around with with my girls in silhouette, sort of.  Hard to get them both sitting still and looking forward.  I thought with snacks and a movie I would be golden, but these were the best two.  The second one is my favorite.

We spent the morning at our local children's museum.  Loads of fun for everyone!  Happy I dressed the girls alike, they were easy to spot in the crowds of kids.

A series today, both girls in the chair after wonderfully long naps.  Sharing a snack and making each other giggle.  My three favorites.

After dinner, Daddy built their first fort.  The little one wasn't that interested in going inside the fort, she just sat and supervised.

My father-in-law has cancer.  There have been complications.  Today was their 45th wedding anniversary and he insisted on having 'Slim' in the picture with them. The things you do for those you love, especially when they are sick.

Poor baby, woke up from her nap with a temp of 103.4!  Thankful on days like this, when all she wants is to be carried, that I am a baby wearing Mama.  Still able to make dinner, play with the older one, and keep her happy.

This child loves her baby dolls.  She hugs them, rocks them, kisses them, feeds them and just generally carries them around.


Tulips, day 8.  Almost done, but not quite.

 A favorite pair of shoes, now outgrown.  Starting to sort through clothes the youngest no longer fits and decide what to keep, what to sell and what to give away.  These will be kept.

Our local library has a family reading program.  300 books in 10 weeks, we started a week late.  Some new favorites have been found.

Picture heavy post.  So many fun things to take pictures of, a stark contrast to yesterday when I only took 5 pictures, all of my tulips.  I love this child's eyes.  She got a hold of the real phone and knew she was caught, but continued to ham it up for me as I quick grabbed my camera.  Outdoors, my oldest was having a blast with her dad on the frozen lake.

 Again, playing around with exposure levels and getting a good silhouette.  Need more practice.

Tulips in February - yes please!  I cannot wait to record their opening.  Being Valentine's Day, we made a cake, complete with M&M's and sprinkles for Daddy.  I love having a helper in the kitchen, most of time.  We differ in our opinion as to how many sprinkles are enough; however, we agree that frosting off the whisk, tastes the best!

A fun morning decorating cookies with one of our little friends.  Both kids had a blast, both decorating and eating.  More is better when it comes to sprinkles, jimmies or red hots, apparently.

Our poor snowman... rain and warmer temps melted off his head and caused one of his arms to fall off.  A very gray and dreary day today inspired playing around with under exposing my subject.  I like the darker shading.  On a side note, she built that tower all by herself with every block in the set - impressive.

Light never ceases to amaze me.  With all the snow, what little light coming through the clouds was magnified and reflected creating this halo of light around her.  She let me put not one, but two braids in her hair this morning.  Makes her look so much older.

I can hardly believe I only took 4 pictures today and they were all of this gorgeous morning light on our frosty snowman arm.  So happy the days are getting longer!

A very sunny, warmer day to play outside in the foot of snow we got this week!  Sand toys doubled as snow toys and an old dust pan worked as a shovel.  With the bright sun reflecting everywhere it was a challenge in exposure control, but I feel like the pieces are starting to fall into place.  We rarely get icicles on our house (yay!), but a few formed today and looked so cool with the sun.  By evening they were gone.
